Beijing Consumed Over 1 bn Cubic Meters of Natural Gas

By December 19, Beijing has consumed a total of 1.015 billion cubic meters of natural gas, attaining the 1bn-cubic-meter clean fuel target 15 days ahead of schedule set by the municipal government in 2000.

So far, 2,926,000 families have been reported using clean fuel in Beijing, including 1,330,000 in use of natural gas.

This year, Beijing continues with its work of replacing coal gas with natural gas on a large scale and this has been arranged according to a 20-batch replacement plan to include over 200,000 families in Shijingshan, Xuanwu, Chongwen and Chaoyang Districts in Beijing.
