Domingo's Premier Vocal Solo in China Scheduled for Jan. 5

Placido Domingo Arrives in China
At 10:45 AM January 3, Placido Domingo, the dramatic Spanish of the Three Tenors in the world, arrived in Shanghai from Seoul by the flight of Asiana Airlines.

To well prepare for the January 5 solo, 60-year-old Domingo came to Shanghai one day ahead of schedule. The Shanghai presence will be his premier vocal solo concert in China and the first performance in the 21st century for this great "King of Opera" in the world as well.

In addition, to give a vocal solo concert is his long-cherished wish over the past 10 years and more. He specially named the concert "Greeting to the New Century" so as to leave the sound of singing of the first year of the new century to the audience of Shanghai.
