Chinese Vice President Ends Visit to Jordan

Chinese Vice President Hu Jintao left Amman for Cyprus on Monday after a three-day official visit to the kingdom.

Hu and his entourage were seen off at the Marka airport in eastern Amman by Jordanian Prime Minister Ali Abu Ragheb and other senior officials.

During his visit, Hu held talks with Jordanian King Abdullah Bin Hussein, Ragheb, Senate President Zeid Rifai, Speaker of the House of Representatives Abdul Hadi Majali.

An agreement on scientific and technological cooperation between the two governments was signed during Hu's visit.

Amman is the third leg of Hu's five-nation tour, which had already taken him to Iran and Syria. He will also visit Cyprus and Uganda.
