Beijing Official Set out to Deliver Bid Book to IOC

On the afternoon of January 16, delegation of Beijing Olympic Bid Committee Headed by Wang Wei, secretary-general of BOBICO, left for Lausanne to submit Candidature File of Beijing to IOC there to meet the January 17 deadline.

According to the procedure and rules of the IOC, none of the five candidate cities is allowed to invite members of the IOC or go out to meet any IOC member during the bidding process. Therefore, Candidature File is considered to be one of the major windows through which members of the IOC can get to know the bidding cities.
