First Batch of IOC Evaluation Commission Arrive in Beijing

First Batch of IOC Evaluation Commission Arrive
The first batch of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Evaluation Commission arrived in Beijing Monday, February 19.

The inspectors arrived this morning are IOC Administration representatives Jacqueline Barrett of Britain, Olivier Niamkey of Switzerland, Stephanie Cabessa of France, National Olympic Committee representative Carlos Arthur Nuzman of Brazil and specialist Kang-Ro Yoon of South Korea.

Liu Jingmin, Vice President of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Bid Committee and Vice Mayor of Beijing, told guests at the airport that Beijing has been ready for the commission's inspection and he hoped that commission members could experience Beijing's change during their stay while Barett said that the commission believes Beijing's preparation for the games could be remarkable.

The commission will start their four-day inspection of Beijing on Wednesday.
