East-west China Trade Fair Slated for April

The 2001 China East-West Cooperation and Investment Trade Fair will be held in this capital city of northwest China's Shaanxi Province on April 6-10.

Vice Governor Zhao Dequan said Wednesday that the trade fair will attract over 5,000 enterprises from both home and overseas.

He also noted that the trade fair will push forward over 2,000 trade programs, and over 1,000 high-tech projects.

Liu Haiyan, vice mayor of Beijing, said that Beijing will organize more than 150 major enterprises to take part in the trade fair.

The 2001 China East-West Cooperation and Investment Trade Fair is the fifth of its kind.
