Chechen Government to Move to Grozny on April 1

The government, mass media and the bank of Chechnya are planning to move to the capital city of Grozny on April 1, Chechen Prime Minister Stanislav Ilyasov said Sunday during an interview with the Vremya Novostei (the Moscow News Times) Newspaper.

"We will live in wagons for a while as there is no other place for living, and visitors will be offered the same accommodation," the Itar-Tass on Sunday quoted Ilyasov, who was appointed as the Chechen prime minister on January 19, as saying.

The wagons have been positioned, and the buildings for the Chechen government and administration are being repaired. Ilyasov added.

The Chechen administration and the new-created Chechen government are now working in Chechnya's second largest city of Gudermes for safety reason.
