Kyodo reports March 5: Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori, who is under mounting pressure to resign over a string of verbal blunders and scandals, survived a no-confidence motion against his cabinet Monday by a majority vote of his ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) and its allies.
