HK Civil Servants Awarded for Good Customer Service

Twenty teams of Hong Kong civil service officers were presented trophies Monday under the Quality Service Enhancement Award Scheme.

Speaking at the prize presentation ceremony, Hong Kong's Administrative Secretary Anson Chan said good customer service would strengthen the public's confidence in the government and enhance the image of the whole civil service.

Good customer service could also reflect the high efficiency and quality of service of government departments, she said.

The service-wide award scheme was organized by the Civil Service Bureau to recognize the achievement of outstanding civil servants in customer service excellence.

At the ceremony, Chan and the Secretary for the Civil Service Joseph W P Wong presented trophies to the 20 winning teams who have made significant enhancement of customer service during the past three years.

Chan also paid tribute to other civil servants who were devoted to their work and provided to their customers the good service they deserved.
