Delegation Leaders of CPC, CPV Meet

Luo Gan and Le Kha Phieu, heads of delegations from Chinese and Vietnamese ruling parties, held a meeting Sunday.

Luo, Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC)'s Central Committee, and Le, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) asked each other to convey greetings to the leaders of their parties.

At the invitation of the central committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the delegations are here to attend the seventh party congress which is to be held between March 12 and 14.

Luo said the CPC and the Chinese government always highly emphasize the good-neighborliness and all-round cooperation between the two countries.

He stressed that developing Sino-Vietanmese ties is not only an important need from each side but a key factor for promoting regional and global peace and development.

Luo said he wishes the upcoming ninth congress of the Vietnamese ruling party a great success.

Le highly praised the grand achievements in China's successful economic development and other areas and said he is glad that the Vietnamese-Chinese relations have kept reaching new highs during recent years.
