Counterfeit Shure Microphones Destroyed

The State Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision recently destroyed a batch of counterfeit US famous-brand SHURE to a cost of some million yuan.

Shure Incorporated ranks among world's top microphone manufacturers. James M. Furst, VP of Shure International Operations also its Asia Regional Sales General-Manager, remarked that Shure always support China's anti-counterfeit campaign and witnessed China's efforts in protecting foreign Intellectual property here. It also showed China's determination of anti-shoddy goods before its entry to WTO.

Last September, Shure along with officials of the Chinese government succeeded in cracking down a case of counterfeit Shure products in Shenzhen. They discovered some 5000-odd fake Shure microphones, as is said above.

Li Menglong with Shenzhen Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision said the cooperation between foreign manufacturers and the Chinese government would create a favorable environment for oversea manufacturers and investors.
