Lottery Produces Four Millionaires in Gansu

In less than half a year, the Yellow River Splendor welfare-based lottery has created four millionaires in northwest China¡¯s Gansu Province, with a man winning a five-million-yuan prize.

The lottery began to be issued on Oct. 18, 2000.

A week later, a job-seeking man from Tianshui in Gansu won one million yuan, thus becoming a millionaire overnight. Afterwards three other lucky persons drew the winning numbers, with the prize of more than one million yuan.

Liu in Chengguan District of Lanzhou, who has won the five-million-yuan prize, said that his family is very happy, but their normal life is still going on as usual.
