5th COMDEX/China Expo Opened in Beijing
The 5th COMDEX/China Expo, the biggest IT gala in China opened at China International Exhibition Center April 4.
The four-day expo, targeting informationalization in new economy era, centers on four technology topics including platform and application, e-commerce and Internet, network and telecommunication, information housing appliance and digital technology.
More than 160 companies reportedly gather at the expo, showcasing new products, technologies, fields and concepts of IT industry. Meanwhile, some 30 special lectures will be given on topics of mobile commerce, network technology, venture capital, broadband network, Internet security, etc.
COMDEX is known as one of the most authoritative IT expos worldwide. Every year, about 20 like expos are held in over 17 countries. China holds one every year since 1997.
The fifth one is undertaken by the Ministry of Information Industry (MII), the Ministry of Science and Technology and China Association of International Trade Promotion.
