Speedy Rectification and Standardization of Market Economic Order UrgedThe State Council has decided to locate its office of leading and administering the work of rectification and standardization of China's market economic order in the State Economic and Trade Commission (SETC). Li Rongrong, minister in charge of SETC said that the Commission will resolutely fulfill the task given by the CPC central committee and start as soon as possible the rectification work to score a good result at its initial stage.Li made the remark at the forum for economic and trade commissioners of the provincial level on April 5. He called on economic and trade commissions at various levels to strengthen social security work, consolidate and develop national economy, improve the overall quality and competitiveness of national economy and further pursue the opening-up policy in order to build up and perfect the system of socialist market economy. The significance of rectification and standardization of market economic order must be fully understood so as to further raise people's sense of mission and responsibilities and set the initiative for work in motion. Li stressed that the economic and trade commissions at various levels should thoroughly and resolutely crack down on illegal activities, which have severely disrupted the market economic order according to the law.
