Tibetan Delegation in Sweden Discloses Dalai Lama's Conspiracy
The visiting Chinese Tibetan delegation Friday strongly condemned the Dalai Lama's double-faced conspiracy to split China.
At a seminar in Stockholm with Swedish scholars and researchers on Tibetan studies, Tsering Drolkar, head of the delegation and vice chairman of the Tibet Autonomous Region, said that the Dalai Lama lies when he says he wants autonomy for Tibet not an independent Tibet.
What the Dalai Lama wants, Drolkar said, is to establish a "Great Tibet" not led by the central government of China. "This is no different than an independent Tibet," he said.
The delegation leader cited the Dalai Lama's current visit to Taiwan as an example saying: "When he arrived in Taiwan Saturday, the Dalai Lama said his mission in Taiwan is to give lectures on Tibetan Buddhism to his followers. But what he has done is to meet people there advocating an independent Taiwan."
Drolkar said the Dalai Lama also cheated the people that he wanted to hold dialogues with in the central government, and he has never done any concrete positive things in this regard.
On behalf of the Chinese government, Drolkar said, "The door is always open to the Dalai Lama when he wants to talk to the central government, as long as he gives up his attempt to establish an independent Tibet."
Drugkang Tubdenkedrup, a Living Buddha from Tibet's Sherteng Temple, also gave a lecture at the seminar, elaborating on the implementation of China's policy of protecting religious freedom in Tibet.
The Living Buddha said it is necessary for all Tibetan Buddhism researchers and scholars to understand the history of Tibet when studying Tibetan Buddhism. To this end, he gave a brief account of the development of the history of Tibet in the last several thousand years.
"Since the mid-13th century," he said, "Tibet has become a part of China."
The two veteran Tibetans welcomed Swedish people from all walks of life to visit Tibet and see for themselves what changes have taken place. They both believed that all foreign friends will have their own views on today's Tibet and won't believe the rumors spread by the Dalai Lama and his disciples after their visits. " Seeing is believing," they said.
The seminar attracted many Swedish scholars and researchers on Tibetan studies.
The Tibetan delegation arrived in Stockholm on Tuesday for a week-long visit, during which they will also meet Swedish parliamentarians and government officials.
