China to Challenge US Basketball Team

China will play three warm-up games against the All-Star team of America's International Basketball League (IBL) on May 5, 7 and 9 in China before the East Asian Games, which is scheduled from May 19-27 in Osaka, Japan.

Wang Fei, head coach of the Chinese national basketball team said that the Chinese team will strengthen its defending skills.

"Everybody believes China will win in the East Asian Games. That is also what I think," said Wang Fei. He also said that this year's main task of the Chinese national basketball team is July's Asian Basketball Championship in Shanghai, which will decide the Asian berth to compete in the world championship.
