Police in Shanxi Capture 1,682 Criminal Suspects

Police officers in north China's Shanxi Province have cracked 842 cases, smashed 12 criminal gangs and arrested 70 members of criminal gangs.

Within three days from April 13, they arrested 1,682 criminal suspects and confiscated 47 guns, 3,656 kilograms of explosives and 15,256 detonators.

The Xinghualing Public Security Bureau of Taiyuan City destroyed a gang of 11 members involved in illegal gun possession, kidnapping and drug-trafficking with Li Gang as the ringleader.

The Public Security Bureau of Zezhou County, Jincheng city, destroyed in one stroke a criminal gang led by Yan Xiaogang that committed robberies on trunk highways.

Police officers also smashed a criminal gang involved in robberies, kidnapping, blackmail, drug trafficking and taking. The gang was led by Hou Ming, a villager in Bagong Village.
