Sino-US Great Wall Trekking to Support Beijing's Olympics Bid

May 9 saw more than 80 students from Beijing University of Physical Education and Sports School of Indiana University set out from Shanhaiguan Pass on a trek along the Great Wall under the theme of "Support Beijing's 2008 Olympics Bid, Hike Along the Great Wall".

The trekking starts from Shanhaiguan, known as the "No.1 Pass under heaven", the eastern end of the Great Wall, jogging along the famous passes of Jiaoshan, Huangyaguan, Jiangjunguan, Simatai, Jinshanling, Gubeikou, Jiankou to end at Mutianyu. The total distance is 80 km in a trip of five days. ������

Vice president of the Sports School of American Indiana University expressed their supports and wishes for Beijing's bid for 2008 Olympics and his appreciation for the friendship and cooperation between the two universities of almost one decade in the past.

The trek will come to an end on May 14 at Mutianyu.
