China's Top Legislator Concludes Visit to Brunei

Li Peng, chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress, left Bandar seri Begawan for South Korea on Wednesday after concluding a three-day visit to Brunei.

Li was seen off at the airport by Brunei acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Princess Masna and her husband, accompanying Minister of Communications Zakaria Sulaiman and other senior officials. Chinese Ambassador to Brunei Qu Wenming was also present.

During his stay in Brunei, Li met and held official talks with Brunei Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah. The two leaders exchanged views on bilateral relations between China and Brunei and other issues of common concern.

Brunei is the second leg of Li's current three-nation Asian tour. He already visited Cambodia.
