China Ties Sudirman Cup Final 1-1 with Indonesia

China levelled the Sudirman Cup final at 1-1 with Indonesia as Gao Ling and Huang Sui crushed Deyana Lomban and Etty Tantri 15-1, 15-2 Saturday in Seville.

Gao/Huang, who won the Japan Open and All England champions early this year, needed only 22 minutes to take the comfortable win.

Indonesia opened a 1-0 lead over China in the world mixed team championships after Olympic champion Tony Gunawan and Candra Wijaya beat Zhang Jun and Zhang Wei 15-13, 15-1.

The two Zhangs, who won a crucial match on Friday saving China from the brink of being eliminated when the semifinal tie was levelled at 2-2, wasted an early 7-4 lead to lose 15-13 and found the Indonesian pair too much for them in the second.
