State Council Executive Meeting Held
Premier Zhu Rongji Wednesday presided over the 40th Executive Meeting of the State Council which discussed and passed, in principle, the draft amendments on the provisions of the administration of the dismantling and removal of urban houses.
According to the meeting, since its enforcement on June 1, 1991, the document has played a positive role in regularizing relevant activities, strengthening the administration of the issue, protecting the legal interests and rights of parties involved, and ensuring the smooth implementation of civil projects.
However, it is necessary to make certain amendments to the demands for changes in the field, along with the deepening of the reforms and the development of a socialist market economy in the country, the participants agreed.
The draft amendments will be published for implementation by the State Council, after they are revised according to suggestions made by the participants.
