Iran's Presidential Election Starts

Some 42 million Iranian voters across the country began to cast their ballots in polling stations for the eighth presidential election which started at 09:00 a.m. local time (04:30 GMT) on Friday.

Ten candidates, including incumbent President Mohammad Khatami, are contesting for the presidency.
