Woman on Infertility Drugs Delivers Sextuplets

A 36 year-old Bahraini woman who had taken a course of infertility drugs has given birth to sextuplets, four girls and two boys, by caesarian section at a Manama hospital, Bahrain.

Five of the babies were in satisfactory condition after their birth on Tuesday, while one was in a critical state with respiratory problems but was said to be improving, the Gulf Daily News said.

The babies were born 12 weeks early and weighed between 890 grammes and 1.14 kgs, it said. The mother, who has four other children, was in good health.
