U.S. Air Force F-16 Crashes in South Korea

A U.S. Air Force fighter jet crashed in a rural area of southern South Korea, killing its American pilot, the U.S. military said Wednesday. The accident occured during a routine nighttime training mission at 10 p.m. Tuesday after taking off from its home base in Kunsan, a port city on South Korea's southwest coast. The military withheld the name of the dead pilot pending notification of next of kin.
