Chinese, Guinea Military Leaders Satisfied with Military Exchanges

China attaches importance to Sino- Guinea relations and is satisfied with the development of the bilateral military exchange and cooperation, Chinese Minister of National Defense Chi Haotian said Monday.

Chi, also vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission and a state councilor, made the remark in talks with Moussa Solano, minister of Territorial Administration, Decentralization and Security of Guinea.

Chi briefed the Guinea guests on China's view on the international situation, China's social and economic development, China's diplomatic and defense policies as well as army building.

He said that since the two countries were diplomatically linked, their bilateral friendly cooperative relationship has witnessed sustained and steady development, with fruitful cooperation recorded in political, economic, military and cultural fields.

Chi said China and Guinea share views on a wide range of issues and China is thankful to Guinea for its adherence to the one-China policy and its supports on the human rights issue.

Solano expressed thanks for China's support and help, stressing Guinea will continue to adhere to the one-China policy wishes to enhance exchange and cooperation with China.

Qian Shugen, deputy chief of General Staff of the People's Liberation Army (PLA), Zhou Kunren, political commissar of PLA General Logistics Department were present at the talks.

Prior to the talks, Chi held a welcoming ceremony in Solano's honor. Salano is here at the invitation of China's defense ministry.
