Vice President Attends Vocal Concert to Mark Party's Anniversary

A vocal concert was held Tuesday to mark the upcoming 80th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) which falls on July 1.

Chinese Vice President Hu Jintao attended the concert, on which more than 1,000 officials, university students, soldiers, retirees and children joined in a chorus of songs in praise of the party.

The concert was jointly sponsored by the Work Committee of Departments under the CPC Central Committee, the Chinese Writers' Association, and the China Central Television.
