Foreign Ministry Marks CPC's 80th Anniversary

The Chinese Foreign Ministry staged a chorus performance here Thursday to mark the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) which falls on July 1.

Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan and some other Foreign Ministry leaders took part in the performance along with other comrades to show their love for the CPC.

The Foreign Ministry has held a series of activities starting from April to mark the anniversary including seminars and visits to important CPC sites.

Before the chorus, 80 new CPC members pledged their commitment to the party in front of the CPC flag, and Tang, in a speech delivered at the ceremony, voiced the hope that these new CPC members can remember this moment and make their own efforts to revitalize China and realize Communism.
