Landslide Rescue Operation Stalled Due to Risk

The rescue operation after Monday' s landslide, which hit a coal mine in southwest China's Yunnan Province, has had to be delayed due to the risk of another landslide, officials said Tuesday.

Experts and rescue worker have evacuated from the site of the landslide, which was caused by heavy rainfall, to a safe place ten kilometers away.

The mud-rock flow caused by Monday's landslide killed 14 people, injured 22, and five are still missing.
