China Not on Daimler-Chrysler's List to Recall 150,000 Benzes

Daimler-Chrysler lately announced that it will recall altogether 150,000 Benzes, including C-, E-, S-, SL-Class and what not manufactured between June 1995-April 1996 for one of the air chambers on the said Benzes would open before the exact time and hurt the driver when hitched up to a stop. As reported, only Benzes in Europe and Middle East will be recalled while those in other countries and regions including China will not be included.

Daimler-Chrysler authority admitted that a certain number of drivers have been hurt as a result of the trouble but not pointed out the exact number. Daimler-Chrysler will compensate for these customers with an estimated cost of some 15 million Euro.

The Hong Kong Branch of Daimler-Chrysler will reply Chinese users on why China has not been included and deny discrimination on its part for those in the US, Japan and other countries will not be recalled.
