Five Killed in Russian Train Crash

A Russian passenger train slammed into a car in Siberia, killing all five people inside the vehicle, officials said Wednesday.

The crash occurred Tuesday evening near the Chuna railway station in the Irkutsk region, about 2,600 miles east of Moscow, and involved a train traveling from Moscow to Lena in Siberia, said Emergency Situations Ministry spokeswoman Marina Ryklina.

She said the small car, a Russian Zhiguli, was passing through an unguarded railway crossing at the time of the accident.
