Chinese Football Association on July 24 held a mobilization meeting in Kunming for the 10-strong match of world cup Asia zone. Yan Shiduo, executive vice-chairman of the association said that China's goal is to try the best to win the game in the Asia zone so that China can have the chance to play in the world cup.
Yan gave an impassioned speech at the meeting. He said that China has a lot of events to be proud of, but men's football team has for long failed to gain the qualification to join the final match in the world cup, it is a great pity, football players felt deep sorry about that. This time, Chinese team should strive to win the qualification.
Yan said that men's team does have a gap with world other teams, but this should not be a pretext. Football players should know that they are on behalf of China, they should have a strong desire to win the qualification. They should also be confident and pay much attention to rivals, not to be dizzy with success, nor be discouraged by failure.
Yan stressed that Chinese football players' performance in the 10-strong match will draw close attention, players should try their best to win the game and do not make people disappointed.
