Nationwide Philatelic Activities Start
China July 29 started a series of nationwide activities to popularize the hobby of stamp collection.
The All-China Philatelic Federation organized lectures in Beijing for the exchange of views by fans of stamp collecting.
Sheng Minghuan, vice-chairman of the federation, said that the activities include lectures and gatherings in the coming months in ten provinces and municipalities.
Governmental officials, stamp designers, philatelic businessmen and award winners gave lectures Sunday morning.
More than 400 stamp collecting fans from 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities participated in the gathering.
