Shandong Luneng into FA Cup Semis after 3-1 Win

Shandong Luneng, the only club in China which has both the first division league and FA Cup champions in hand, defeated Changchun Yatai 3-1 Sunday at the Chinese Football Association Cup third round second leg and advanced to the final four.

Second division side Changchun Yatai looked full of running from the start and Shandong goalkeeper had to be sharp to keep out early efforts by the visitors.

But Shandong took a lead after 26 minutes when Wilbeto Delvalle Casiano scored the opening goal.

After the lead, Shandong gradually took control and gained their reward after 13 minutes with a penalty by Sergiy Nagornyak.

Wang Dong scored the only goal for Changchun at the 44th minute but after the restart, Nagornyak's second penalty goal at 75th minute locked the victory for the home side.

Shandong Luneng will face Dalian Shide, which beat Qingdao Beer 3-0 on Sunday, at the semifinals.

Second division Wuhan Hongjinlong also advanced after a 1-0 victory over Tianjing Taida at home on Sunday. Wuhan's semifinal rival Beijing Guo'an tied with Shenzhen Kejian 1-1.
