Chief of General Staff Meets Lesotho Guests

Fu Quanyou, chief of the General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, held talks with Mosakeng M, chief of Defense Forces of Lesotho, and his party.

Fu, also member of the Central Military Commission, said that the peoples of China and Lesotho have enjoyed traditional friendship and the history of anti-colonism and striving for national independence and sovereignty.

He expressed appreciation for the efforts of Lesotho government on safeguarding peace and stability of the country, developing economy and eradicating poverty.

Fu said that the Chinese armed forces values the relations with its Lesotho counterpart, and holds positive view on pushing forward the bilateral ties in this regard.

Fu spoke highly of the adherence of the Lesotho government on the one-China policy.

Mosakeng, who is visiting China for the first time, expressed gratitude for the support of the Chinese government towards his country. He said that China is a large country, while Lesotho, a small one, but the two countries have maintained friendly relations. His visit is to further the relations between the military relations of the two countries, he added.
