Japanese PM Koizumi to Visit China As Planned

Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi said that he will visit China as scheduled on Monday despite the launch of military strikes by the US against Afghanistan's ruling Taliban in retaliation for the September 11 terrorist attacks on New York and Washington.

Koizumi made the remark in a televised press conference early Monday after the U.S. began the military action against the Taliban.
