China Commemorates 90th Anniversary of 1911 Revolution

A number of commemorative events were held across China Tuesday to mark the 90th anniversary of the 1911 Revolution led by Dr. Sun Yat-sen which overthrew the feudal Qing Dynasty (1644--1911).

An exhibition was held Tuesday morning in Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong Province, displaying historic documents and pictures related to the 1911 revolution.

Central China's Hunan Province also opened an exhibition entitled "1911 Revolution and Hunan" Tuesday which runs for one month and contains over 280 exhibits.

Meanwhile, over 2,000 people attended the commemorative conference of the 1911 Revolution in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province.
