Shanghai Ready to Offer Class Service to Fortune Forum

High-quality facilities have been installed in the Shanghai International Conference Center to offer satisfactory services to the three-day 99' Fortune Global Forum which opens here on September 27.
Its main hall can accommodate 800 people, with eight sections on either side for 160 journalists, and nearly 200 meeting rooms have been readied for group discussions and news conferences, according to the center's management.
World-class microphones, screens, interpretation facilities, and cable networks also have been installed in the center, along with telecommunications facilities including fax, 5,000 telephone lines, satellite transmission equipment, and a digital signal system for mobile phones, all for the use of the participants and journalists.
The Xinhua News Agency, China Central TV Station, the Central People's Broadcasting Station, the Shanghai TV Station, the Hong Kong Phoenix TV Station, and the USA's CNN will all broadcast the conference live, organizing officials say.
Dinners during the course of the conference will be provided by the center's hotel, and more than 300 cooks and waiters and waitresses will ensure satisfactory services for the participants.
The center, completed on August 8, is located in the Pudong New Area of Shanghai, next to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. (Xinhua)
