Direct flights linking historic Chinese city Xi'an to Russia's Moscow and France's Paris will be launched later this year, local authorities announced Wednesday.
The Xi'an-Moscow route is expected to be launched on July 1. The route linking Xi'an and Paris will open in September, according to a statement issued by the government of northwest China's Shaanxi Province. Xi'an is the provincial capital.
Xi'an Xianyang International Airport has opened more than 200 flight routes connecting to over 100 foreign cities.
