On combating extravagance: Frugality promotion shouldn't be a temporary campaign

- on February 22, 2013 in his comment to an article from People's Daily.

"The efforts made by the party leadership to promote frugality and fight extravagance have gained sincere support from the public. We need to step up our work to prevent an ostentatious campaign."

On food safety: The failure to solve the food safety problem will disqualify a government.

"The public are highly concerned about food safety. Scandals in this area may cause panic and even ignite group incidents, which will harm the industry if exaggeratedly reported."

On judicial justice: Conscience is enough to judge some cases.

- on January 7, 2014 during a conference on procuratorial, judicial and public security work.

"A main cause of injustice is the lack of conscience among some police officers. In some cases, professional law knowledge was not as necessary as a conscience, but the verdicts actually made people confused about moral criteria.

On disciplinary work: Nepotism will irritate the public

-on January 22, 2013 in a speech at the 2nd plenary meeting of the 18th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC.

"We communists must not tolerate nepotism that was popular in feudal societies. Or the people would reproach us."

On disciplinary work: Underlying rules are rampant

-On January 14, 2014 during the 3rd plenary meeting of the 18th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC

-On January 14, 2014 during the 3rd plenary meeting of the 18th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC.

On disciplinary work: Some officials think of nothing but flattering higher ranks.

-On January 14, 2014 during the 3rd plenary meeting of the 18th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC.

"Any party organ doesn't belong to an individual. Party members should be loyal to the party, not a person. Factions are absolutely banned in the party."
