Friends! President Xi Jinping's time of APEC

During the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, Chinese President Xi Jinping met with two friends: Tajikistan President Emomali Rakhmon and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen in Beijing on Nov. 7, 2014.

Chapter 1: Do you remember the Mid Autumn night in Dushanbe?

Two months ago, Tajikistan President Emomali Rakhmon and the three generations in his family welcomed President Xi Jinping with a unique family feast in his country.

Two months later, in Beijing, the two friends who have a lot in common celebrated their reunion.

Both born in 1950s, President Xi used to be an "educated youth", learning from peasants and working in the countryside. President Emomali Rakhmon was an electrician and farm director. And they both joined the army. Similar experience gave them many topics when they met. And Emomali Rakhmon was the first foreign leader arrived Beijing for this meeting.

They will jointly put forward and deepen the cooperation in many areas such as electricity, oil gas, economic, business, agriculture, anti-terrorism, anti-drug etc.

Chapter 2: The special friendship between China and Cambodia

When King Norodom Sihanouk was alive, he lived in China with his wife for many years. In his heart, China was the second hometown. Many Chinese people still have fresh memories that the Sihanouk couple appeared in Tiananmen Square. After his death, China and Cambodia continue to maintain a close relationship.

King Norodom Sihamoni, Sihanouk's son, was welcomed by President Xi Jinping in China on September 25, 2014 in Beijing Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.

China and Cambodia should continue and develop their precious traditional friendship to advance their relations and form a community of common destiny, President Xi Jinping made the remarks while meeting with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen in Beijing on Nov. 7, 2014.
