The forum on integrated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei kicked off in Beijing on Wednesday.

Chen Changzhi, vice Chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, highlighted the importance of the strategy of integrated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, which concerns the long term development and people's happiness. Efforts should be made in promoting industrial integration, strengthening ecological environmental protection, building convenient traffic system, he said.

Yang Zhenwu, president of People's Daily, stressed that firmly putting forward the plan of integrated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei is of great significance in building a comprehensive well-off society and realizing the Chinese dream of great rejuvenation.
