BEIJING, Nov. 28 -- A symposium was held to commemorate the centenary of late Chinese Chief Justice Zheng Tianxiang in Beijing on Friday.

Liu Yunshan, a Standing Committee member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, attended the symposium and met Zheng's family.

Zheng passed away last year at the age of 99. He was not only the president of the Supreme People's Court, but also served as a member of the CPC Central Advisory Commission in the 1980s.
