Over 90% of foreign-invested enterprises resume production in Hunan

(People's Daily Online)    16:17, March 18, 2020

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, Changsha’s foreign-invested enterprises and local enterprises have worked together to fight against the epidemic by using their domestic and overseas channels to purchase and donate anti-epidemic materials.

After Changsha called for the resumption of work and production, foreign-invested enterprises have taken the lead in resuming production and have steadily restored production capacity, which helps Changsha achieve its economic and social development goals in the first half of the year, and also drives the national supply chains to recover gradually.

Data from the Hunan Commerce Department show that, as of February 18, among the 2,407 key investment attraction enterprises (mainly production enterprises above a designated scale) that are managed by the department, 2,157 enterprises had resumed production, accounting for about 90%. Among the 200 key foreign-invested enterprises, 190 had resumed production, accounting for 95%. (en.changsha.gov.cn)
