BEIJING, March 26 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping said Thursday that a virus respects no borders, stressing that all must work together to build the strongest global network of control and treatment.

Xi made the remarks in Beijing while attending the G20 Extraordinary Virtual Leaders' Summit on COVID-19 via video link.

"This is a virus that respects no borders. The outbreak we are battling is our common enemy," Xi said.

"All must work together to build a strongest global network of control and treatment that the world has ever seen," Xi stressed.

China has set up its online COVID-19 knowledge center that is open to all countries, Xi said.
