BEIJING, March 29 (Xinhua) -- The National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), China's top political advisory body, on Friday held a fortnightly consultation session to discuss promoting a law-based business environment.

Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presided over the session.

Stressing the importance of leveraging the CPPCC's role as a specialized consultative body, Wang urged political advisors to focus on key issues, conduct in-depth research and put forward targeted and effective solutions and suggestions to advance the development of a law-based business environment.

Ten CPPCC National Committee members spoke at the meeting, voicing the need to further improve and optimize legislation related to the business environment, strengthen judicial guarantee, and promote a stable, transparent, procedure-based and predictable law-based business environment. They also called for enhancing the social credit system.

Officials from the Supreme People's Court, the Ministry of Justice and the State Administration for Market Regulation provided briefings on pertinent matters and exchanged views with political advisors.
