The Chinese youth volunteer team receive a warm welcome upon their arrival at the Capital Airport in Beijing March 8, 2005. During the 10-day strenuous work in the tsunami-ravaged Thailand, the 18-member Chinese team cleared a total of 180,000-square-meter seabed and fetched out more than 20 tons of rubbish and debris underwater.

China to continue aid to tsunami-affected countries: official
China will continue to play an active role in the coordinated and harmonious international aids to the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the tsunami-affected countries, an official said Friday in Manila.
