World powers' relations feature cooperation, competition in 2006
In 2006, the relations between the world's big powers featured a mixture of cooperation and competition. Amid constant interaction, the big powers have employed various means to keep a relative balance between such subtle relations.
Outlook for China's major events in 2007
A rundown of the major events in China shows 2007 will be extremely busy, productive and crucial for the country's reforms and development. The year will feature the continued evolution of the government and the turning of a new page for the Communist Party of China.

China's gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to rise by 10.5 in 2006 over the previous year, said Yao Jingyuan, chief economist of the National Bureau of Statistics.
