Top 8: The Treasury, Jordan

Located in Petra, Jordan, the Treasury is one of the city's most magnificent attractions. Built in the first century BC, the Treasury is carved out of solid rock and stands over 40 meters high. Its past function is a mystery, but most experts believe that it was used as either a temple or a royal tomb. It is also a favorite location for film shoots: it was featured in "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade."
