Cloisters and corner pavilions are common buildings in parks. The Long Corridor in the Summer Palace is 728 meters long, making it the longest corridor in the world. On the surface of the Corridor, over 14,000 pictures were painted, and all of them are traditional Chinese stories or flowers, birds, fish and insects. The octagonal double-eave Spacious Pavilion is also the largest pavilion of China. In addition, the vault of the Beamless Hall was only made from bricks and stones and did not adopt a single beam. The construction skill was extremely high.

The foundry technologies and sculpture skill in Summer Palace are also quite advanced. For example, the giant iron buffalo on the eastern side of Kunming Lake looks genuine and an inscription can also be seen on its back. The huge stone boat on the northern side of the lake has many excellent engravings and sculptures.
