The international community should condemn the intransigence of Eritrea in unequivocal terms, said Dawit in a meeting here with Daniel Feutes, president of the Ethio-France Friendship Committee. Dawit said it was the interest of the Ethiopian government and the people that peace should prevail in the sub-region, adding that Ethiopia also attaches paramount importance to the reduction of poverty.

He expressed the believe that the French government would support the implementation of the Ethiopian Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper, which is currently under discussion. During the meeting, the two sides also exchanged views on existing bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
